Muraoka Sohonpo is one of the oldest Ogi yokan (a thick block-shaped jelly) shops, and the museum is housed in a building that was constructed in 1941 (Showa 16) as a sugar storehouse. The museum that is run in tandem with the shop exhibits the raw ingredients of yokan and the tools used in its manufacture.
